Hey, first to comment!  :)

As ever an enjoyable show Babz and great to hear about Steve, I didn't know about his success. He could learn from a few of us who mouth off as soon as we have a tiny weeny bit of news  ;D ;D

Re coverage - I put my last script to coverage soon after completing the first draft (it had a few proof reads so not an entire mess) as I wanted a heads up at an early stage. I knew it was flawed and needed some serious work, but without direction I thought it likely I would start fixing the wrong problems. The advice back was spot on and definitely worth doing at that stage.

Cheers

'Pet a dog, sniff a rose', nice advice Babz, lest we become too introspective and caught up in our own stuff...and it makes us better writers too, no doubt.

I enjoyed this podcast a lot. :)

Having listened to this - especially the end about marketing and producers and graphs, and demographics etc. how is it that so many 'dogs' of films still get greenlit? And, I'm not talking 'small fries'.

Woke up this morning and there it was.  Like a shiny gift under the tree on Christmas morning.  With love from Babz.

Thanks from all of us.  Another wonderful show full of advice and encouragement.

Follow your dreams, but don't lose sight of your everyday life.

Peace.

this show was good but I got a bit choked up at the end; this is really hitting home for me. We are doing it. Us. Together. Very cool. As far as the dogs getting the green? Heck if I know, I'm with you there. It really is ACTOR AND MONEY IN, MOVIE OUT. mostly it works but when it doesn't, sad; I had heard from someone one of the supporting actors in Lone Ranger was bummed because they strayed from the script. Clint Eastwood talks about this a lot; 'why option it if you fell in love, and now want to change it?' I get it, some stuff has to be tweaked but still it's such an odd business. Isn't it?

Hey Babz, I just wanted to say thanks again for all your help with closing the deal!

The coverage I got from Screenplay Readers really helped me with the last re-write of the script, and highlighted a few aspects of the story that definitely needed tweaking.

I also want to thank everyone who read the script on over on SimplyScripts - the initial feedback and suggestions that I received were absolutely invaluable to me and helped immensely.

Hi, Steve! Your prods are super jazzed. We really can't buy passion like that. It's pretty cool, I can tell you from experience. You have my support. Keep writing, rewriting and LIVE! I'm here and at the good humor of God, will remain so. HUGS AND THANKS, STEVE! bb
