Share some music
« on: May 15, 2013, 06:13:30 PM »
I've always been keen on hearing some interesting new music. Unfortunately I'm one of those people who don't listen to new music unless it comes with a recommendation. So go ahead and share some tunes with other members. I know I'll at least be interested in hearing what you guys like to listen to.

Here's one of my favorites. Not sure you guys will like it (into punk rock?), but I'm a big fan of this band...

Social Distortion - "Ball and Chain".

Not a great song, not particularly well-written, but I'll be damned if it doesn't put me in a writing mood when I hear it. Lol.

I was trying to pick one song from the album "Sunset Mission by Bohren & Der Club of Gore, but every song is amazing. One of the best albums ever, in my opinion. Definitely enjoy :)

This was one of my favourite albums for many years (many years ago)...

It takes a full minute to dissolve into the album, always has, so don't expect to hear anything until about 30-40 seconds in.

I just realized I should share my favourite writing music here as well.

Sean, this song reminds me of a song I once wrote when I was in a band (yes, I was in a band, shutup). Simple songs like this that repeat with familiar riffs actually work better than all this complicated material some artists choose to come up with, in my honest opinion. Quite enjoyed it.

Can't get this song out of my head, and it's wonderful to write to. I forget its going on.
