Here's your first writing challenge on the site.

One that's not going to interrupt your other projects.

You have one week to write a one page commercial or PSA.  It can be about any product or subject you like but it must include both of the words amazing and fantastic somewhere in the text.

Send the page to me (webmaster@writerarena.com) in pdf form without your name on it and I'll post them in a thread with a poll so we can vote on them anonymously.

Good luck.

Commercial or PSA? Interesting first challenge. :)

This could be interesting. I worry about getting all that across in a single page, but if it were easy, I suppose it wouldn't be considered a challenge... =)

Same here, currently writing my idea and it seems about 3 pages. Definitely a challenge.

I know you said we have one week, but is there a specific deadline or just ends on May 19th? Sorry if I'm asking a question that may not need to be asked  :-[

This will be wicked! How often do these wee challenges come around, Michael?

I can come up with one an hour but I think we'll play it by ear until we have a population to support that.

Advert - great idea.

Just in case there is  a different format to normal I shall treat this as one page script.

On the downside, as much as I'm trying be all serious at the moment, drop the slapstick and innuendo, I immediately have this idea about an advert for  cucumbers involving a shower scene.

I should get out more often

First draft done, and neither a cucumber or a shower scene in sight. Damn >:(

Sure, so long as it wasn't a prison movie... *Shudders*

I've actually come up with one and am going to try and work it in between Andretta writing. Should be good times, though, Michael. =)

Not sure the ad agencies will come knocking on my door, but a fun challenge to have.

Finding it difficult to cut down 19 lines to fit the one page challenge. Trying my best though. Like this challenge and hopefully more good ones to come.

Way to go, Shane. =)

I'm working on mine right now. And, I'm so glad I came back to this. I completely forgot we had to throw in both "amazing" and "fantastic". That would've really screwed mine. There isn't a rule that it has to be happy, right? Lol. =)

Michael, I'll probably be one of the last in, but I will enter. Good to see people getting involved.

A Quick Reminder from the Quick Reply that you only have a few more days to get a script in for this challenge.

I'm still having a hell of a time cutting down mine. I'm hoping to be able to make it. Great job for everyone that already did :)

I'm tempted to contact the company I am advertising. I'm not sure how this thing works, but it may be an idea that these guys bite. Suggestions? Yay or Nay?

One more day to enter and nearly 1/4 or our members have entered.  Who wants to make it 1/4 -- next entry does it.

I'm short on time, but I'll get there! Trying to juggle one assignment and an audition among other stuff :)
