Good site for screenplay requests
« on: May 29, 2013, 12:15:33 AM »
Hey all,

I usually pop into this site every now and then and take a look at the requests for screenplays and thought some of you may be keen to take a look as a fair few requests do go through this site.

http://amazingforums.com/forum3/SCRNWRITE/forum.html

Enjoy.

I've heard of Amazingforums... Unfortunately, my experience with them wasn't actually a good one, where a director had used my contact details for a project. I ended up having to tell a bunch of random screenwriters that I was not the person they were looking for and I soon had the post removed...

Then again, the administrators at the site are not to blame. How were they to know better?

Thanks for sharing, Alex :)

Thanks for the post Dan and sorry to hear that.

I have never really taken anything further on this site other than popping in every now and then to see what people have been requesting.

Even when I saw a request for a screenplay that matched what I was holding in my hand, I still did not contact them as I felt the production companies may not have been above board, though that was only my opinion.

I feel that in making contact with anyone, you really need to do your homework and find out as much about them and their company as possible as there are a lot of scammers out there. (Always cover your butt)

Regards Alex
